What it means for your child
With rated events only just starting in Uttarakhand, most of a child's chess will be online for now. That works when it's done well: level-matched opponents, a coach who looks at the games, and a tournament to play every weekend.
When an event in Dehradun or Rudrapur comes up, we prepare your child for it.
Before a first rated event, read how to get a FIDE rating in India and what changes at your child's first rated tournament.
