What it means for your child
Uttar Pradesh runs a full set of rated age-group championships each season, so a child who is ready can play rated chess against their own age group. Being ready means more than knowing the moves: the clock, writing the moves down, and openings that hold up over the board.
Our classes build that step by step, and the weekend tournaments keep your child playing every week. Families in Noida and Ghaziabad can also see our Delhi NCR page.
Before a first rated event, read how to get a FIDE rating in India and what changes at your child's first rated tournament.
Who teaches
Bhaskar Gupta, LWSed's founder and head coach, holds a FIDE rating and teaches every chess batch himself, from Ludhiana. Every chess student also gets a free online tournament or chess event every Saturday or Sunday, and our monthly Lichess tournament results are public in the Hall of Fame.
