Why We Built LWS
We believe ages 5–18 are the golden years of learning — the window where curiosity is natural, habits are forming, and one great teacher can change everything. We started LWS because we saw too many kids memorizing formulas and forgetting them the next week. We wanted to build something different.
Chess engines have used AI for over 75 years to make humans better players — from Claude Shannon's first chess program in 1950, to IBM's Deep Blue defeating Kasparov in 1997, to AlphaZero teaching itself chess through pure self-play in 2017. The lesson? AI doesn't replace human thinking. It sharpens it. We apply that same principle — logic plus AI — across Chess, Maths, English, and Generative AI.
Our courses are designed so your child doesn't just learn what you intended. They discover something that makes them go on YouTube, open a new tab, and dig deeper on their own. They start asking questions nobody assigned. That's when we know we've done our job.

AI as Amplifier
AI enhances teaching — it doesn't replace thinking. We use tools like ChatGPT, Wolfram Alpha, and Perplexity to personalise lessons, generate perfect-difficulty practice, and explain concepts multiple ways. The student still does the work.
